In competition with other urban development projects around the world, Stockholm and Stockholm Royal Seaport received an award for the best sustainable urban development project in the category Sustainable Communities. Visit in the Icebar is around 45 minutes long. There is one drink included. Inside the bar you will find structures made of ice from this year's theme "Swedish innovations". You can sit, drink, talk and walk around. The bar is built of 40 tons of ice, all natural. The ice used is the same as the one used in the Ice hotel in northern Sweden. The temperature inside the bar is -7 degrees Celsius so it is good to come prepared with some warm clothes. The bar provides ponchos and gloves too.

ISPer's recommendation: Indulge in some fika at Stockholm's cafés. Strolling through Stockholm you´ll surely notice the word "fika" everywhere - what is it? It's a Swedish concept of taking a coffee break with your friend, having a timeout, and enjoying coffee and cake - sort of like the Italian "Dolce far niente". If you want to go where the locals go, check out Vete-Katten café or Café Schweizer.
