ISPer's recommendation: Do you want to be in several places at the same time? The statue was built to express gratitude because the Portuguese were spared the direct devastating effects of World War II. At the same time, you will be offered a breath-taking view of Lisbon and the 25 de Abril Bridge. It will give you the feeling that you are at the Golden Bridge in San Francisco.
